Emergency Relief for Migrants

The waiting periods for newly arrived migrants to access social security payments have temporarily been waived, meaning that they can access various safety net payments including the COVID-19 supplement.

Office for Women advises that anyone who is unable to pay their bills or is at imminent risk of not being able to pay their bills can access Emergency Relief regardless of their visa status. More information on this program is available HERE

You can find the list of providers by searching for ‘Financial Crisis and Material Aid – Emergency Relief’ under Service Type.
