Festivals and Events

Stalls, demonstrations and exhibits at cultural festivals and other community events are an engaging way to share information about environmental issues. Being at these events enables the ECSLP team and councils to talk with large numbers of people from their communities and distribute printed materials in their language.
The displays attract attention and provide interactive ways for people to learn about environmental issues. For example, the “Eco Wheel” can be themed to different topics – participants answer questions and win eco-prizes for their efforts.

“We chose this land and we have a reason to keep the Australian environment beautiful so we can all enjoy it.”
– Quôc-Tran Duong, bilingual educator, ECC
