I have always wanted to do more to help protect and preserve our planet. Since I was a little girl, my brother, sister and I would collect paper and certain metals in the neighbourhood and send them to the recycling collectors. Being a bilingual environmental educator provides me with the opportunity to reach out to people who share my background and passion. I believe that different communities can develop their unique ways to contribute to the sustainability of Australia with the power of knowledge. Everyone, regardless of their background and language, should work together to overcome the environmental challenges that we are all facing. We should understand that however small the actions we consciously take; they all lead us to a healthier planet and future.
