I started work as a bilingual educator in 2008. I came to Australia as a refugee from Sudan four years ago. I was lucky to have been educated back home, where I was a vet and worked at a university. I feel a responsibility towards my community. We came from countries where there is little knowledge of the environment. I’m also a musician and I use music to link up with other communities and deliver environmental messages too. Even if people don’t understand the lyrics, music has an impact.
