
Calling all amateur photographers...
Do you live or spend lots of your time in the Canterbury Council area?
Canterbury Council, The Ethnic Communities’ Council NSW and SAVE project want you to express your love of nature by taking part in the Biodiversity Photo Competition.
The first of its kind this year, the competition is aimed at celebrating biodiversity in and invites you to submit your photo/s showing a native plant, bird or animal in your favourite local park, waterway or garden in the Canterbury area.
The competition is free to enter and images can be uploaded up to the midnight of Monday 2nd April 2012.
Fabulous prizes will be awarded to the first three winners who will be announced on the celebration day. A fourth winner will be selected on the day by the public.
All the winners’ photos will be exhibited at our grand Celebrate Biodiversity fun day. Come join in the festivities including Australian Animal Show, Aboriginal bush tucker tasting, short films and presentations, music performances and much more. This all ages event will be held at Lakemba Senior Citizens Centre Wednesday 1-4pm 18 April 2012. The exhibition will then tour the City of Canterbury’s libraries at Lakemba, Campsie, Riverwood and Earlwood.
