- Learn ways to reduce energy use in the household
- Produce an Action Plan to make your household energy use more sustainable
- Find out about other environmental sustainability courses
- Receive a Certificate I in Access to Work and Training – Energy Efficiency
The training is based on an accredited unit of competency NSWTSUS116A ‘Investigate sustainable household energy use’ which is included in the Certificate I in Access to Work and Training. One of the developers of the unit of competency, Patricia O’Donovan from the TAFE NSW Social Inclusion and Vocational Access Skills Unit, explains the benefit of this training being accredited: “It is important because the training is then transferable into other training and can contribute to other qualifications. This program not only gives participants the ability to reduce their bills but is also a great pathway into education.”
