Let's celebrate biodiversity - FREE FUN DAY!!

  

A free family fun day celebrating Biodiversity in Canterbury will be held at Lakemba Senior Citizen’s Centre cnr of The Boulevarde and Croydon St, Lakemba,

When: 1-4 pm Wednesday 18 April 2012.

The event celebrates the beauty and diversity of Australian animals, birds and plants and showcases the photos entered into the Biodiversity Photo Competition. “This is a wonderful opportunity for the people of Canterbury to come together and celebrate the beauty of their local natural spaces. The biodiversity of our environment is something to be cherished”, said Mark Franklin, Executive Officer, Ethnic Communities’ Council NSW.

The winners of the competition will be announced in a ceremony with a chance for the public to vote for one of the photos. Great prizes will be awarded to the winners. The day will include the photo exhibition, Australian animal show, Aboriginal bush tucker, entertainment, door prizes, stalls and much more.
