Anti racism law

by Esther Lozano - Thursday, 31 May 2018

Members of the ECCNSW are invited to respond to the NSW government’s decision to not change the State’s anti racism laws.

Section 20C and 20D have proven to be ineffective. There have been no prosecutions for a criminal offence for anyone who uses hate speech or incites violence based on skin colour, ethnic origin or religion.

We strongly encourage our members to write to their local and state Members of Parliament, and the NSW Premier, urging them to reform these laws.

ECCNSW has provided a sample letter for member organisations to use.

Please click HERE to download the sample letter to send to your local and state member of Parliament.
