A “call out”  for Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Storytellers Living with Vision Loss

Ethnic Communities’ Council of NSW (ECCNSW) in partnership with Vision Australia Radio is inviting culturally and linguistically diverse community members who have a vision loss  to share their lived experience as  part of an exciting new storytelling initiative known as the  “Hear Me, See Me – Speak My Language Program,”

This Program is   funded by the Australian Government Department of Social Services, and aims to capture and celebrate the voices of people navigating life with vision loss. The program focuses on personal identity, community connection, and resilience, moving beyond clinical perspectives to highlight real stories from the community.

 We are seeking participants aged 18 to 64 who are comfortable with sharing their journey of living with disability. We are particularly seeking storytellers who speak:

·  Arabic
·  Cantonese
·  Mandarin
·  Vietnamese
·  First Nations (English speaking)

Selected participants will take part in a single podcast interview in their own language that will amplify diverse voices and experiences within the community.
