Become a Storyteller for the Hear and See Me Program
Want to Share Your Story?
Ethnic Communities Council NSW’s “Hear and See Me” Program is currently seeking bilingual storytellers from Arabic, Vietnamese, Cantonese-speaking, Mandarin-speaking, Hindi, and First Nations backgrounds to participate in a national series of audio and video podcasts. The Program supports people living with vision loss, low vision, hearing loss, or deafness by sharing accessible, culturally appropriate information and lived experience stories in community languages.
If you’re comfortable sharing aspects of your personal journey, including your experiences navigating daily life, accessing supports and services, overcoming challenges, building confidence, and participating in community life. As a Storyteller you would be helping to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and provide practical advice and encouragement to others within their communities.
Interviews will be conducted in a supportive and respectful environment, with participants able to choose whether they wish to remain anonymous.
If you are interested in becoming a storyteller or know someone who may like to participate, please contact
Program Manager Ms. Marina Antonas – [email protected] or mob: 0408 490 011.
