BreastScreen NSW launches translated pages in 27 languages

The breast screening website has officially launched in 27 languages, making vital information more accessible to women from diverse language backgrounds. This important step ensures that language is no longer a barrier to essential breast health services.

The site provides clear, easy-to-understand guidance on key topics such as:

  • When to screen: Helping women understand the best times to schedule their breast screenings based on their age and health history.
  • How to book an appointment: Step-by-step instructions on booking a screening, including details on how to access the Translating and Interpreting Service (13 14 50) for those who need language support.
  • What to bring, wear, and expect: A breakdown of what women should bring to their appointment, what to wear for the screening, and what they can expect during the process.
  • In-language resources: Direct links to additional resources in multiple languages to further assist women in their journey toward breast health.
