Business Energy Smart Tips (BEST)

The Business Energy Smart Tips program (BEST) set out to give energy efficiency information, energy assessments and advice to culturally and linguistically diverse businesses.

Through a team of bilingual educators, ECCNSW targeted restaurants, butchers, bakeries, take away shops, convenience and grocery stores, general retail, clubs or community meeting places. The BEST assessments and recommendations lowered energy costs and promoted energy conservation.

In addition to one-on-one education sessions, ECCNSW also partnered with SBS Radio to deliver interviews providing energy efficiency information and advice for the Vietnamese, Thai and Tamil speaking communities.

The Impact

Everyone working in the restaurant is now more aware of energy efficiency. The electricity bill for our restaurant is significant reduced and so it the running cost of the restaurant. To me, this is the biggest reward.
