Inner West Sector Support Development and Training
ECCNSW employs an Inner West Sector Support Development and Training Officer who guides and provides capacity building for the Inner West CHSP paid staff and volunteers, to build capacity for the aged care sector.
The Sector Support Development and Training Officer provides mentoring support, and pathways on how to access resources and up to date information to (CHSP) funded service providers in the Inner West Region. The focus of the role is on government policy; effective planning; and representing the Inner West CHSP providers and client needs on various Commonwealth, State-wide, Regional and local committees.
The Sector Support Development and Training Programme is funded by the Australian Government Department of Health and Aged Care, under the Ethnic Communities’ Council of NSW (ECCNSW)ย to employ a Sector Support Development & Trainingย Officer.
The Inner West Sector Support Development and Training Officer provides a range of support, resources and information to CHSP service providers in the Inner West Sydney Regionย including mentoring,ย providing advice about government policy,ย representing the local networks on relevant committees,ย collaborating with the broader aged care system,ย developing online resources, facilitating training,ย promoting new initiatives and best practice in aged care.
