Tobacco Control

ECCNSW developed and implemented a program to reduce smoking and the risk of cancer across five CALD communities in Sydney.

Bilingual educators provided activities and resources for the Arabic (predominantly Lebanese), Mandarin/Cantonese, Vietnamese and Korean speaking communities.

The Tobacco Control program aimed to reduce the use of tobacco in CALD communities that had been identified as high users, and to promote the use of early intervention support services available through the NSW Government health system.
