Asian dry cleaner electricity saving project

Our achievements
- a peak demand reduction of 177 kW per year
- an electricity use reduction of 790 MWh per year ; AND
- Greenhouse Gas savings of 845 tonnes annually.
What we did
This was achieved by educating business owners and staff about actions they could take to reduce electricity use, greenhouse gas emissions and save money.
We provided this information in Vietnamese and Chinese using the skills of bilingual environmental educators. The educators visited and negotiated an agreement with the dry cleaner offering a free boiler energy audit and to fix and repair any problems identified by the audit.
