We are seeing an increase in the number of young people trying vaping. NSW Health has developed a Multilingual Vaping Toolkit to increase young people’s awareness of the dangers of e-cigarettes use. The resources educate young people and parents that vaping is not safe.
Vapes can contain harmful chemicals found in cleaning products, nail polish remover, weed killer and bug spray and can be addictive due to high levels of nicotine.
There are new multilingual resources for parents and carers of young people aged 14 to 17 years. The Vaping Toolkit translated resources include factsheets, social media tiles, and a poster.
NSW Health is urging our community to find out more and talk about the hidden impacts of vapes with young people. Please share these resources on your social platforms, broadcasts, online publications and with your community networks.
