ECCNSW participated in an event hosted by Ausgrid on Tuesday, that focused on making the transition to renewable energy faster, fairer, and more accessible for everyone.

With the mission to ensure that electricity is available to all, the event brought together industry leaders to discuss how collaboration can drive a smarter, more sustainable energy future.

The discussions covered new initiatives, innovations, and the role of partnerships in unlocking the full potential of Australia’s electricity grid. Keynote speakers from across the energy sector shared insights on overcoming challenges like energy affordability and sustainability, emphasising the need for collective action.

Participants also had the chance to explore cutting-edge technologies and solutions that are transforming the grid, from energy storage to renewable generation. The event underscored that while the energy transition is complex, it’s possible to create a system that benefits everyone—if we work together.

ECCNSW has previously participated in Ausgrid’s Voice of Community initiative, representing the views of the CALD community on topics such as the energy transition, innovation, climate change, key current challenges, clean energy solutions, future nuclear power, and solar energy. The engagement process was highly successful and sets a strong benchmark for other jurisdictions within the National Energy Market (NEM) as they move forward with future rounds of community engagement.
