Anudeep is a Passenger Service Assistant (PSA) at the largest provider of multimodal public transport in Australia and New Zealand, Keolis Downer. Public transport is a mainstream services and, through his role, Anudeep supports and assists people living with disabilities. Anudeep, like other PSA, had to undertake accessibility and diversity training to assist him to understand disability and its impact on the lives of people living with disability.
Keolis Downer works on the principle of ”think like a passenger ” which focuses on enhancing customer experience. As a result, people with disabilities and other customers enjoy high levels of punctuality, safety and reliability.
Other services like accessible wallets and companion cards promote choice and control, as people living with disabilities have control on who to take with them on an outing. Accessible transport promotes social inclusion and community participation.
