Free Legal Support Available for Those Engaging with the Royal Commission on Antisemitism and Social Cohesion

The Royal Commission Legal Assistance Service (RCLAS) is a free, independent service available to anyone who wants support engaging with the Royal Commission into Antisemitism and Social Cohesion. It was established at the request of the Commonwealth Attorney General’s Department and is delivered by National Legal Aid and state and territory Legal Aid Commissions.

RCLAS works directly with individuals โ€” in person or remotely โ€” and can help with:

  • Understanding the Royal Commission process and legal rights when sharing information
  • Writing, reviewing and finalising submissions
  • Confidentiality and privacy considerations
  • Naming individuals or organisations, workplace disclosures, or disclosures related to complaints or legal proceedings
  • Referrals for ancillary legal issues

All staff have experience delivering trauma-informed and culturally safe legal services. Fact sheets about the service are also available in several community languages.

The deadline for submissions to the Royal Commission is 14 June 2026.

To get in touch, call the national phone line 1800 976 198 or email [email protected]. Further resources and a guide to submissions are available at the RCLAS website: nationallegalaid.org.au
