On Tuesday 21 September, Chinese Australians celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival, or Mid-autumn Day, which is the second grandest celebrated festival after the Chinese New Year.
Also known as the Moon Festival, as the moon is believed to be at its fullest and brightest. In Chinese culture, full moon symbolizes reunion, so that they reunite with their families for celebrations.
This year, everyone is encouraged to celebrate this occasion with families and friends in a COVID-safe way.
Please also see below about celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival in a COVID safe way in English, Chinese Simplified, Chinese Traditional, Indonesian, Korean, Thai and Vietnamese.
