New colonoscopy referral education videos for primary care

Short, expert-led educational videos are now available to support primary care providers with guideline-based assessment, triage and referral for colonoscopy in NSW.

Primary care plays a vital role in improving colorectal cancer outcomes through screening and appropriate referrals. These short videos provide practical guidance to support best practice in everyday clinical care.

The videos are taken from the Colonoscopy referral education for primary care webinar (June 2025), accredited by the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) and the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM). They feature leading experts, including A/Prof Eleonora Feletto, Dr Cameron Bell AM and Mr Christopher Horn.

The content includes patient case studies and demonstrations of Refer4Scope, an online decision tool designed to help primary care providers make guideline-appropriate colonoscopy referrals quickly and confidently.
