New Multilingual Animation Series on Dementia Prevention
MindCare Collective has released Your Brain Health Matters: 5 Ways to Lower Dementia Risk, a series of short animated videos now available in 10 languages: Arabic, Cantonese, English, Greek, Hindi, Italian, Mandarin, Spanish, Tamil and Vietnamese.
The series was developed with multicultural communities in mind, addressing the gap in accessible health information for people from diverse language backgrounds. Each animation is brief and visually straightforward, covering one of five evidence-based behaviours associated with reduced dementia risk:
- Stay active โ regular physical activity supports brain and cardiovascular health
- Eat well โ a balanced diet contributes to long-term cognitive function
- Stay sharp and socially connected โ mental stimulation and social engagement help maintain cognitive resilience
- Make safer choices โ limiting alcohol, avoiding smoking, and managing stress reduce risk
- Check your health regularly โ monitoring blood pressure, cholesterol, and blood sugar helps identify risk factors early
The animations are freely available and designed to be shared across community networks, health settings, and social media.
