We know that young people are spending more and more time online. Although the internet brings many benefits, it is important as parents and carers to be aware of the risks.
The eSafety Commissioner has just released new resources to help parents and carers from all backgrounds support their children to stay safe online. As part of eSafety’s work to support the National Strategy to Prevent and Respond to Child Sexual Abuse, ‘Online Safety for Every Family’ helps parents begin a conversation with their children about online safety and build the confidence to support more positive experiences online.

The package of animated videos and advice sheets addresses a range of common online parenting challenges including social media, gaming, online bullying and general online safety.

Available in English, Simplified Chinese, Arabic, Vietnamese, Tamil and Dari, the materials can be accessed on the eSafety’s website here.
