Standing with Victims of Islamophobia
Experiencing Islamophobiaโwhether through hate speech, discrimination, or violenceโcan be deeply traumatising. It affects a personโs sense of safety, identity, and belonging. Many who are targeted may feel isolated, unheard, and unsure of where to turn.
As faith and community leaders, friends, and neighbours, we have a responsibility to stand with those affected.
When someone reaches out to the Action Against Islamophobia (AAI) website or support line, they are taking a courageous step toward healing and justice. Our support can make all the difference.
How we can help:
โจ Connect individuals with mental health professionals
โจ Encourage grounding and relaxation techniques
โจ Strengthen their ties to community and faith
โจ Remind them they are not aloneโthe community stands with them
โจ Offer a safe space to listen without judgment
By showing compassion, solidarity, and understanding, we affirm that every person deserves safety, dignity, and support.
