SafeWork NSW is launching a new campaign with a message to workers, employers, businesses and contractors that when it comes to work, it’s the safe way or ‘no way’.
The campaign aims to create safer workplaces by promoting safer work practices. It identifies ways workers can take action to prevent fatalities and injuries when participating in high-risk activities including:
- working at heights
- working around forklifts
- food delivery
- working with farm machinery.
Workplace fatalities have decreased by 35% over the past 10 years*, but one death is one too many. Every worker has the right to return home safe. Together let’s say, it’s the safe way or ‘no way’.
